Mistakes made in
search engine optimising
by Ammon Johns
Mistakes can be made - indeed most learning comes from making
quite a few of them. However, you can learn just as easily
from the mistakes of others, and don't need to make all mistakes
personally.
This section allows you to avoid some of the mistakes possible
in search engine optimisation campaigns, or at least may help
you deal more effectively with any mistakes that you've just
discovered.
Some of the best known mistakes are those of basic web design
failings - like Frames-based web sites that have neglected
to include data for agents that can't handle frames, such
as 95% of search engine spiders.
Other mistakes can be in failing to track results carefully,
or most commonly of all, in failing to appeal to the right
market sectors with your key word choices.
If any of you readers out there have learnt from mistakes
not covered here, I'd be delighted to hear your story and
consider adding it to this section.
Please email: mistakes@webmarketingplus.co.uk
if you have a mistake, and lessons to learn from it, that
you are willing to share.
